Design: #620 Dragonflies
NOTE: Dragonfly bookends are not one of the first 953 numbered designs, created between 1900-1912. Just included as a backdrop! They were created later, and do not have a design number.

Designer: J. Emma Kinkead left written records that all dragonfly designs were created by Anne Van Briggle, with the exception of #686 & #668.
Description: Low bowl with 5 stylized dragonflies surrounding the rim of the bowl. Light blue glaze on chocolate clay, with high points of design showing through the medium blue glaze. Bottom markings incised in the style attributed with 1907-12; with Design #620. Bottom also has clear glaze.
Dimensions: 2″ height, 5 1/4″ width
Other: This design was not documented until the 2015 Revised Catalogue of Van Briggle Designs by Robert Wyman Newton.
